OYA MAG

An Influencer & Mom in the INOYA Team

Maman Influenceuse RéunionMélanie, Cosmetic Brand Manager at In'OYA

Mélanie, can you describe yourself in 3 words for our OYAs?

In three words, I would say that I am a person :

  • Determined: when I am sure of my choices, I very often end up achieving my goals.
  • Passionate: I work a lot with the heart. It must touch me, I need sensitive fasteners for me to find my stability and longevity.
  • Organized: I usually think that we can achieve all the goals we set for ourselves only if we know how to organize ourselves. The management of our time is paramount. The elapsed time never returns.

How did you get to know INOYA ?

I discovered In'Oya in metropolitan France when I was looking for an internship to finish my professional license. When I met Mr BENGELOUNE, I told him that as soon as I could,  I would return to Reunion. He then promised to send me there if I proved myself in Paris. So I worked as a sales post in Ile de France as an intern and then as an employee.

1 year and a half after I got pregnant and I felt ready to leave everything to go home. It was then that Mr. BENGELOUNE offered me the opportunity to develop the brand on my native island. So I ended up coming back and I reinvented myself brand manager & mom.

Your job as a Cosmetic Brand Manager

What does the typical day of a cosmetics brand manager represent ? soin peau noire pharmacie

My priority is to highlight In'Oya on Reunion Island. My goal is to make the brand available, accessible and recognized.

My direct customers are pharmacies. I pamper them by visiting them regularly and catching up with them. I listen to their needs and arrange with them to serve our common interests. I spend time prospecting to introduce the brand to the different teams officinales on the island. I also take care of training them so that they can best advise our Reunion Oyas.

We organize several activities each month in our partner pharmacies during which we offer skin diagnostics accompanied by a personalized care protocol offered to stay as close as possible to our Oyas.

Finally, I also manage all the marketing part on the island.

Your experience of living in Metropolitan France and Reunion Island

Are lifestyle habits different between the Metropolis and Reunion?
Did this influence the way you work when you returned to Reunion?

I have always lived in Reunion. I left only two and a half years for my studies and to embark on my professional life.

The habits are very different. Here the days start and end earlier than in Metropolitan France. Daily life is much more relaxing. My clients and I are less stressed by nature and in a much better mood, which plays a huge role in our working relationships.

Mom and Influencer

You are also a mom and  lifestyle and decoration influencer.
How do you
juggle your passions, your family life and your work ?

You have to be organized. I have several notebooks in which I set myself different goals to achieve during the year. I note my progress and use it as a guideline to always stay focused on my goals.

So I learned to share my time. I set my schedule in order of priority: My family, my job and then my hobbies/ hobbies.

Finally, do you have a tip to share with our Oyas?

To avoid being an overwhelmed mother, I try to plan everything necessary in the evening: The children's clothes and accessories according to their school activities, the breakfast table etc. This allows us to start the day in peace without the stress of an unpleasant surprise.
