Description
These two trees (which can also be found in shrub form) have very characteristic leaves with different properties. Both the bark and leaves of these trees are used for their healing and anti-inflammatory properties.
Origin
These trees are found from Senegal to Sudan.
Effect
The leaves of these trees contain anti-inflammatory and healing substances which are traditionally used to relieve rheumatism and heal wounds. The bark of this tree is astringent and antiseptic, haemostatic and healing. Their stems also serve as great toothbrushes.
