Hair straightening and colouring

lissage cheveux crépus Black and matte women dream of having smooth hair and resort to smoothing methods such as straightening, Brazilian straightening or Japanese (or Korean) straightening. But, could we combine smoothing and coloring? Or do you have to choose between the two?

Straightening is a technique that involves stiffening curly, curly or frizzy hair permanently. The straightener having broken the chains of keratin molecules that constitute the very fiber of the hair, the latter are weakened. So proceed to the coloring after straightening to let the hair rest, space the manipulations of about a fortnight, but not more, because otherwise your regrowth will give two different materials to the hair.

Brazilian smoothing is less aggressive than straightening. It consists in bringing to the hair the keratin that is missing. Keratin being responsible for the shine, strength and flexibility of the hair, it is repaired after a Brazilian straightening. Better to do the coloring a week after the Brazilian smoothing.

Japanese (or Korean) straightening is a very aggressive manipulation of hair, since it consists in profoundly modifying the structure of the hair. Thus, this technique weakens them and makes them brittle and vulnerable. Coloring is therefore not recommended, as it exposes the hair to breakage and falls.
