Black Beauty, a source of pride at IN'OYA

Abd Haq BENGELOUNE, a biomedical engineer, began a brilliant career in Aix-en-Provence in the biomedical industry before being challenged by the many skin problems of his relatives, mainly the women around him. From a Senegalese mother and a Moroccan father, the young entrepreneur decided to create the IN'OYA Laboratory, focused on research for black and matte skin, in order to combine the power of science with the desire to sublimate Afro-Caribbean beauty.

Often neglected by major brands, black and matte skin nevertheless need dermocosmetic care specifically designed for them. Contrary to popular belief : "Black and matte skin is much more fragile than Caucasian skin. They can keep the scar of an acne pimple or sun spot for years," says BENGELOUNE. The only recourse for them was therefore hydroquinone products with dangerous side effects. Inspired by the African goddess "OYA", the challenge was taken up for the Founder and President of the IN'OYA Laboratory. From now on, each woman will be able to have an effective cosmetic treatment without side effects.

And women know as well as anyone, a skincare routine adapted to your skin type is essential to be able to proudly wear a perfect complexion. Look no further, IN'OYA has done so by launching its "anti-stain" range, innovative ethnic dermocosmetic treatments specific to black and matte skin.

From Research to Innovation

In 2001, in order to understand the mechanism of occurrence of albinism in the black individual (AOC type 3 or rufus), different genes were studied by researchers from the French public scientific community (CNRS / INSERM). Thanks to the contribution of genetic engineering, different enzymes specific to pigmented skin are discovered. The study of the mechanism of functioning of these enzymes makes it possible to better understand the phenomenon of melanogenesis in black individuals.

In 2010, the IN'OYA Laboratory, founded by Abd Haq BENGELOUNE, is based on this genetic engineering work and is committed to concretizing this research to set up the 1st effective "anti-stain" care without side effects that takes into account the genes specific to pigmented skin.

In 2011, the IN'OYA Laboratory was rewarded with several awards for the fruit of its research and launched the first revolutionary "anti-stain" range MEL'OYA®.

In 2013, IN'OYA offers black and matte women skin diagnostics thanks to its "OYA SKIN DIAG" device specific to pigmented skin capable of performing different tests namely: hydration, sebumetry, pigment spots ... At the cutting edge of technology, this device offers women a complete beauty prescription.

In 2015, in partnership with American collaborators, IN'OYA inaugurated "OYA SKIN DIAG 360°" offering an innovative technology, hitherto unmatched in order to always offer the best in terms of personalized skin diagnostics.

Also in 2015, IN'OYA continues to innovate by making available "OYA SKIN DIAG V2", in order to offer in animations an ever more elaborate technology that makes it possible to establish a precise and personalized diagnosis, adapted to the specificities of black and matte skin.
