The cosmetics market has been flooded in recent years with BB Cream and recently CC Cream. But what are these new generation products that are placed between tinted cream, foundation and care? Are they suitable for black & matte skin?Both creams have a basic principle: versatility. Indeed, these new "all-in-one" products offer an alternative to classic foundations, often too covering, comedogenic and drying the skin.
- The BB Cream is "Blemish Balm Cream" which means, in French, Anti-imperfection Balm, suitable for all skin types, including black & matte skin, and will naturally cover the irregularities of the skin as well as improve its texture. It can be used either as a makeup base or as a foundation. It has moisturizing, soothing, unifying properties as well as UV protection, and some even offer additional properties that can be anti-wrinkle or anti-stain.
- The CC cream either "Colour & Care" (colors and cares) or "Colour & Correct" (colors and corrects) can be considered an improved version of the BB Cream. Indeed, it also appears as an innovation, a multitasking product that moisturizes, unifies and covers small imperfections. Cc Cream repairs these same imperfections, while BB Cream only camouflages them. The CC cream also has a lighter texture, a more transparent finish, (thus letting the skin breathe better), higher sun protection indices, it moisturizes more and consists of a wider variety of shades thus suitable for several skin colors. Thus, it will meet more the needs of black & matte skin in terms of skin care, especially through a mattifying power.
COUNSEL:
There are usually 2 shades of BB & CC Cream, Claire and Medium, so what are the results on black & matte skin? A Light shade will bring a slight lightening and a boost of radiance on your skin while a Medium shade will give a unified complexion, slightly clearer and brighter. For black & matte skin, prefer brands with shades adapted to darker skin tones.
If you can't find a suitable shade, mix a drop of darker foundation or tinted cream with your BB or CC Cream to get the desired shade.
