A clear Skin without Blackheads – Tips and Advice

Some of our OYAs face a major problem: blackheads. What causes them and how can you get rid of them for good?

Often, due to a lack proper hydration, dark and olive skin tends to be oilySkin produces excess sebum which can clog pores and create blackheads. They can be treated by using a seboregulator such as MEL'OYA® My Corrector Unifying Matifying . Pores on the face can also become clogged due to dead skin cells that enlarge pores and create bumps that become black when exposed to air.

Pigmented skin is more likely to suffer from blackheads due to the specific pigmentation of the skin. As a result, it can be very difficult to treat blackheads and they can leave dark spots.

1. If you like, relax and call a qualified aesthetician to get a facial with extraction, which should be done using gentle techniques

2. Eliminate dead skin cells by exfoliating skin with a gentle exfoliant: massage gently using circular movements and be sure to focus on the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin). CLEAN'OYA® EXTRA  will gently but deeply exfoliate your skin to speed skin renewal.

3. After exfoliating, apply a white clay mask (more suitable for dark and olive skin) to eliminate toxins and excess sebum. Clean your skin with warm water and rinse with cool water to close pores.

Before exfoliating, steam your skin by placing your face over a pot filled with boiling water. The heat from the evaporation will help open pores and soften skin to make the exfoliation more effective and give you a brighter complexion.
